Use and Care

🛁 How to Use

Using your handmade soap is simple—and kind of a small ritual in self-care.

  1. Get your hands or body wet.

  2. Rub the bar between your hands or on a cloth, sponge, or directly on your skin to build up a lather.

  3. 🧼 Wash, breathe, rinse, and repeat as needed.

🧴 For Face & Hair Too?

Yes, many folks use these bars as all-over soap, including face and hair—especially bars with high lather and moisturizing oils (like cedar & cinnamon). Everyone’s skin is different, so try it out and see what works best for you.

🧼 Make It Last:

  • Let your bar dry completely between uses—a slatted or raised soap dish works best.

  • Keep it out of standing water (like a shower puddle).

  • For travel, wrap it in cloth or pop it into a reusable tin.

This is slow-made, real soap. Treat it like something special—because it is. 🐝

Why it Matters

💛 Why It Matters

Every bar of soap you buy helps support ethical beekeeping, wild honeybee rescues, and zero-waste living.

I don’t just make soap—I rescue bees from extermination, recover their wax, and give it a second life.
Instead of letting those hives be destroyed or wasted, I turn their wax into something beautiful, useful, and healing.

When you buy from me, you’re helping to:

  • 🐝 Save wild honeybee colonies

  • ♻️ Keep fabric scraps and packaging materials out of landfills

  • 🌎 Support natural, chemical-free skin care

  • 💪 Stand against mass production and synthetic junk

  • 🙌 Champion handmade, small-batch, earth-friendly products

These bars aren't made in a factory—they're made with intention, care, and a deep respect for the bees who inspire it all.

Thank you for supporting something that’s good for your skin, good for the earth, and good for the hive.

How it is Made

🧼 How It’s Made

Each bar is made the old-fashioned way—cold process soap, hand-poured in small batches using only ingredients I trust and would use on my own skin.

Here’s how the magic happens:

  1. I blend plant-based oils like olive, coconut, shea, and castor—each one chosen for a reason: lather, moisture, and gentleness.

  2. I add raw honey and beeswax from wild honeybee colonies I’ve rescued and cared for—never from factory hives.

  3. The mixture is saponified using lye (sodium hydroxide), a necessary step in real soapmaking. No lye remains in the final bar—just smooth, skin-loving soap.

  4. I stir in essential oils (if scented) and pour it into molds.

  5. After cutting the bars by hand, I let them cure for 4–6 weeks so they harden up and get nice and mild.

Each bar is wrapped in recycled paper grocery bags, trimmed to fit, and labeled with love.

No machines. No shortcuts. Just real soap, made slowly and intentionally—because that’s the only way it should be done.

FAQ

❓ Soap FAQ – Handmade the Bee-Friendly Way

🟡 Are your soaps good for sensitive skin?
Yes! I use gentle, plant-based oils, beeswax, and honey in my recipes—no synthetic detergents, harsh preservatives, or artificial fragrances. Some bars are scented with essential oils; for ultra-sensitive folks, I always offer unscented options.

🟡 Can I use your soap on my face or hair?
Many folks love it as a full-body bar—including face and hair! Some bars (like the cedar & cinnamon) offer a rich lather perfect for hair. That said, everyone’s skin and scalp are different—start slow and see how it works for you.

🟡 What does “superfatted” mean?
Superfatting means I leave extra nourishing oils in the soap that don’t get turned into lye—leaving your skin soft and moisturized after every wash. Some bars (like Bee Soft) are extra-superfatted for even more skin-loving goodness.

🟡 Are your soaps zero waste?
Yep! I hand-cut each bar and wrap them in recycled paper grocery bags. No plastic. No boxes. Just simple packaging with a purpose.

🟡 Why do the bars vary in size and shape?
Each bar is poured and cut by hand in small batches. No machines, no molds, no mass production. Expect beautiful little differences—it’s part of the charm.

🟡 How long does a bar last?
Each bar weighs about 4 oz and should last several weeks with daily use. To make it last longer, let it dry between uses and keep it out of standing water (a slatted soap dish helps!).

🟡 Do you use lye in your soap?
All real soap is made with lye (sodium hydroxide), but there’s no lye left in the final product—just pure, gentle soap. I use the cold process method and give every batch proper time to cure.

🟡 What if I want a custom scent or bulk order?
Get in touch! I love small batch collaborations and special requests. Whether you’re looking for custom gifts, party favors, or seasonal bundles—I’m happy to create something just for you.
